Japanese street wear market has, for a long time, drawn inspirations from MMA fighting circuits. Aside from the collaboration between Caol Uno and Nike mentioned before, DEVILOCK recently teamed up with shooto style fighter Hayato “Mach” Sakurai and MMA apparel brand inspirit, to produce these limited edition t-shirts, to support “Mach” Sakurai’s upcoming fight at PRIDE 33 in Las Vegas on February 24th.
DEVILOCK founder, Noriaki Endo, has been a long time devotee of fighting sports, even created a fighting event, SHOOTO THE DEVILOCK, of his own.
Fighter Hayato “Mach” Sakurai, made an impressive debut in 1996 by defeating, ironically, Caol Uno. He went on to be undefeated from 1996 to 2001. “Mach” Sakurai is scheduled to fight American Mac Danzig in PRIDE 33.
The t-shirts are currently available for pre-order at online shops at eproze and inspirit.
